Product description

Double-DL brochure folded in half

A double-DL brochure is produced from a sheet twice the width of the finished DL format and folded once in half. The result has four narrow panels that are convenient for a focused offer, invitation, price list, service summary or promotional insert.

The finished format fits standard display holders and many mailing envelopes, making it useful for direct mail, reception areas, exhibitions, restaurants and parcel inserts. Full-colour printing is available on both sides, with a choice of paper suitable for the required appearance and quantity.

Layout requirements

Prepare the outside and inside spreads in the correct page order. Keep logos and small text away from the central fold, extend backgrounds to the bleed and verify readability at the final DL size. Upload the artwork during the order and we will check dimensions, orientation and folding setup.

Formats: PDF, JPG, JPEG, TIF, TIFF. Maximum: 400 MB. For print, use 300 DPI as a guideline. If colour accuracy is critical, order a colour proof.

Artwork submission rules
  • The file dimensions must match the artwork size including bleed. Follow the dimensions shown in the recommendations above.
  • Formats: PDF, JPG, JPEG, TIF, TIFF. Maximum file size: 400 MB.
  • Use 300 DPI for print, 200 DPI for large-format work and 150 DPI for very large products.
  • Use RGB if unsure. Use CMYK only if you understand prepress requirements. Remove embedded ICC profiles.
  • Embed all fonts in PDF files. Save JPEG without compression and TIFF with merged layers using ZIP/LZW.
  • For foil, varnish, contour cutting and other special processes, use vector spot objects with overprint.

      General guidelines+
      • Use the CMYK colour model only when the artwork was prepared with the correct print profile; otherwise submit the file in RGB.
      • Embed all fonts in PDF files or convert text to outlines.
      • Keep important text and logos inside the indicated safe area.
      • Do not place thin frames close to the trim line.
      • The maximum upload size is 400 MB.

      • Check the finished size, bleed and safe area before uploading the artwork.
      • Use high-resolution images and make sure linked graphics are included.
