A4 roll-fold brochure printing

An A4 roll-fold brochure is created with two parallel folds, with each panel folding inward over the previous one. The sheet becomes a compact six-panel brochure that guides the reader through information in a clear sequence. It is often known as a tri-fold or letter-fold brochure.

The format works well for service lists, company presentations, restaurant menus, event programmes, travel information and step-by-step instructions. Both sides can be printed in full colour on paper selected for the required appearance and print run.

Panel setup

The inner folding panel must be slightly narrower so the brochure closes cleanly. Do not build all three panels at identical widths without checking the production template. Keep text away from fold lines and include bleed around edge-to-edge backgrounds. We will verify the panel layout before printing.

Formats: PDF, JPG, JPEG, TIF, TIFF. Maximum: 400 MB. For print, use 300 DPI as a guideline. If colour accuracy is critical, order a colour proof.

Artwork submission rules
  • The file dimensions must match the artwork size including bleed. Follow the dimensions shown in the recommendations above.
  • Formats: PDF, JPG, JPEG, TIF, TIFF. Maximum file size: 400 MB.
  • Use 300 DPI for print, 200 DPI for large-format work and 150 DPI for very large products.
  • Use RGB if unsure. Use CMYK only if you understand prepress requirements. Remove embedded ICC profiles.
  • Embed all fonts in PDF files. Save JPEG without compression and TIFF with merged layers using ZIP/LZW.
  • For foil, varnish, contour cutting and other special processes, use vector spot objects with overprint.

      General guidelines+
      • Use the CMYK colour model only when the artwork was prepared with the correct print profile; otherwise submit the file in RGB.
      • Embed all fonts in PDF files or convert text to outlines.
      • Keep important text and logos inside the indicated safe area.
      • Do not place thin frames close to the trim line.
      • The maximum upload size is 400 MB.
      Files and preparation+
      • Check the finished size, bleed and safe area before uploading the artwork.
      • Use high-resolution images and make sure linked graphics are included.
