A2 poster printing

The A2 format, 420 × 594 mm, is large enough to attract attention from a distance while remaining convenient for indoor displays. It is widely used for event posters, retail promotions, exhibition stands, presentations and information boards.

A2 gives photographs and typography more visual impact than smaller formats. Full-colour printing is available on paper selected for short campaigns, framed display or longer indoor use.

Preparing an A2 design

Build a clear hierarchy around one main message. Check raster image resolution at the final size and avoid placing small text where viewers cannot approach the poster. Extend backgrounds to the bleed and keep important elements inside the safe margin. We will verify the artwork before production.

Formats: PDF, JPG, JPEG, TIF, TIFF. Maximum: 400 MB. For print, use 300 DPI as a guideline. If colour accuracy is critical, order a colour proof.

Artwork submission rules
  • The file dimensions must match the artwork size including bleed. Follow the dimensions shown in the recommendations above.
  • Formats: PDF, JPG, JPEG, TIF, TIFF. Maximum file size: 400 MB.
  • Use 300 DPI for print, 200 DPI for large-format work and 150 DPI for very large products.
  • Use RGB if unsure. Use CMYK only if you understand prepress requirements. Remove embedded ICC profiles.
  • Embed all fonts in PDF files. Save JPEG without compression and TIFF with merged layers using ZIP/LZW.
  • For foil, varnish, contour cutting and other special processes, use vector spot objects with overprint.

      • Use the CMYK colour model only when the artwork was prepared with the correct print profile; otherwise submit the file in RGB.
      • Embed all fonts in PDF files or convert text to outlines.
      • Keep important text and logos inside the indicated safe area.
      • Do not place thin frames close to the trim line.
      • The maximum upload size is 400 MB.
