Wire-O bound brochure printing

Wire-O binding uses a durable metal loop inserted through evenly punched holes. Pages turn easily and the brochure can open flat on a desk or fold back on itself. This makes the format comfortable for material that is consulted frequently rather than read only once.

Wire-bound brochures are suitable for price lists, menus, product samples, training manuals, technical instructions, presentations and internal company documents. Covers can be produced on heavier stock and protected with lamination, while the inner pages may use coated or uncoated paper.

Artwork and binding margin

Keep page numbers, text and important graphics away from the punched binding edge. Submit the document as single pages in reading order, with bleed where required. We will verify page size, orientation, binding side and technical readiness before printing and assembly.

Artwork submission rules
  • The file dimensions must match the artwork size including bleed. Follow the dimensions shown in the recommendations above.
  • Formats: PDF, JPG, JPEG, TIF, TIFF. Maximum file size: 400 MB.
  • Use 300 DPI for print, 200 DPI for large-format work and 150 DPI for very large products.
  • Use RGB if unsure. Use CMYK only if you understand prepress requirements. Remove embedded ICC profiles.
  • Embed all fonts in PDF files. Save JPEG without compression and TIFF with merged layers using ZIP/LZW.
  • For foil, varnish, contour cutting and other special processes, use vector spot objects with overprint.

      General guidelines+
      • Use the CMYK colour model only when the artwork was prepared with the correct print profile; otherwise submit the file in RGB.
      • Embed all fonts in PDF files or convert text to outlines.
      • Keep important text and logos inside the indicated safe area.
      • Do not place thin frames close to the trim line.
      • The maximum upload size is 400 MB.

      • Check the finished size, bleed and safe area before uploading the artwork.
      • Use high-resolution images and make sure linked graphics are included.
