Designer paper gives a business card an individual character before any additional finishing is applied. Its colour, texture and density can reinforce the visual identity of a company and make the card feel noticeably different from a standard coated-paper product.

Depending on the selected stock, the result may be restrained and elegant or expressive and distinctly premium. The tactile surface draws attention to details and makes the card pleasant to hold. Important for the design

The base colour and texture of designer paper influence the appearance of printed colours. Fine lines, small type and large solid areas should therefore be assessed for the chosen stock. Send us the artwork and preferred style; we will check the file and help select a paper that supports the design rather than competing with it.

Artwork submission rules
  • The file dimensions must match the artwork size including bleed. Follow the dimensions shown in the recommendations above.
  • Formats: PDF, JPG, JPEG, TIF, TIFF. Maximum file size: 400 MB.
  • Use 300 DPI for print, 200 DPI for large-format work and 150 DPI for very large products.
  • Use RGB if unsure. Use CMYK only if you understand prepress requirements. Remove embedded ICC profiles.
  • Embed all fonts in PDF files. Save JPEG without compression and TIFF with merged layers using ZIP/LZW.
  • For foil, varnish, contour cutting and other special processes, use vector spot objects with overprint.

      General guidelines+
      • Use the CMYK colour model only when the artwork was prepared with the correct print profile; otherwise submit the file in RGB.
      • Embed all fonts in PDF files or convert text to outlines.
      • Keep important text and logos inside the indicated safe area.
      • Do not place thin frames close to the trim line.
      • The maximum upload size is 400 MB.

      • Check the finished size, bleed and safe area before uploading the artwork.
      • Use high-resolution images and make sure linked graphics are included.
